- God has a heart for wounded and hurting people.
Luke 4:18,19: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. - Discipleship is God's desire for His people.
Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations." - We are called to the ministry of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18: "All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation." - There is freedom in Jesus Christ.
John 8:36: "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." - We are called to unity in Christ.
John 17:23: "May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me." - God's transforming power is a gift of Grace.
Ephesians 2:8,9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
